When Covid first hit, I got very worried about potential impacts to food supply and frantically signed up for a vegetable and meat CSA/farm shares across three different farms. The sad irony: the food supply never was materially impacted by Covid but all of the farms we get food from have been evacuated due to fires and are shutting down their CSAs for now. I think this year is a massive exercise in letting go of the illusion that we have any semblance of control over our lives. That may not be all bad, but it’s certainly jarring.
