Grateful

It has been such a very long time since we’ve sat together in a tea shop and read our books. A throwback to the years she was in high school and I was in grad school and all the coffee and tea shops that helped us both do things we really did not want to do. Today was an absolute delight.

Meanwhile, back at the home front, Lily and Hannah made some Cookies against Humanity. When John came home, Lily handed him the divorce cookie and said “mom asked me to give this to you.” I wish I had dreamed up this activity as a teen, all I ever managed to make were chocolate chip cookies. Although I’m struggling to imagine my mom’s reaction if I ever put “eat ass” on a cookie. I can’t quite imagine it probably because there is no version of me that would have done this. The times have officially changed.
