father’s day memory

From Alice, to John. A “very fond memory” of creating a giant LEGO tower together and pondering what it would look like today if they had kept going. This is a perfect representation of the kind of father he has been. He was always the one on the living room floor with the kids, whether it was legos or barbies or petshop animals or coloring or just pretending (oh, the endless pretending), John was always right in the middle of it. And the amount of makeovers and pedicures this man has had. Yesterday, John and I were out and saw a dad holding his completely sacked out toddler daughter – she was just sound asleep on his shoulder. Made us both a little wistful for days gone by, but I said – we will always have the memories and so will the girls. And this today from Alice proved just that.
