Tonight walking to the store, I was talking to Margaret about how ingrained it is for me and John to want to make Christmas “magic” for little kids even though there are no little kids anymore, and that it feels weird not to be staying up until 2 am putting together bikes or desks or dollhouses. She said, “the magic is different now, but it’s still there. The magic is that we are all together, the magic is family.” Pretty smart, that one. Wishing a merry and bright Christmas to all who celebrate!
