Dear internets: I am not having an amazing mother’s day. And that is ok! I know I’m important to my kids even when they pull stuff like “I wrote you a poem but didn’t have time to write it down, do you want to read it off my phone?” I have to just roll my eyes (inwardly) and laugh because I did the same and even worse to my mom. So for me Mother’s Day looks like sitting at work doing schoolwork and feeling mildly annoyed by kids being kids but feeling fine, no, grateful even, about it overall. And I truly look forward to all the guilt-inspired gifts and gestures I get in the future when they realize how crappy they were as teenagers. 😂 . Happy mother’s day to all the amazing moms I know, no matter what kind of day you are having. ❤️
