Last night we saw OSF production of Oklahoma which was incredibly true to the original production with exception of portraying the two love stories as same sex couples (Curly is a woman and Ado Annie becomes Ado Andy). It was an exceptional production – we all agreed one of the best musicals we’ve ever seen. And the premise worked beautifully, drawing on themes of acceptance and change that underly the original work. Absolutely worth the trip to see this play.
